OUR WORK HAS AIRED ON

Global Voice Productions was founded by journalist Seema Mathur in 2009 with the mission of sharing the voices of those who need to be heard.

Prior to starting Global Voice Productions, Seema worked as an on-air reporter specializing in medical reporting for CBS affiliates and covering global affairs for CNN International. Building on those relationships, Global Voice Productions has reported and produced for national networks including CNN, ABC, CBS and PBS, as well as NPR Austin, on pressing issues around the globe—from the earthquake in Haiti and child soldiers in Liberia to maternal mortality in Kenya, women’s rights in post-revolution Egypt and Morocco, mass shootings, the Zika virus and the mental health crisis in the United States.

In addition, our production teams have created long- and short-form documentaries to help nonprofits and private-sector organizations tell their stories. Clients range from Core Health Care, Whole Foods Foundation, The Miracle Foundation and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi to Deloitte.

As content creation and platforms—from social media to podcasting—have become more accessible, Global Voice Productions is increasingly helping organizations and individuals better tell their own stories through consulting services, podcast development and the creation and moderation of in-person and virtual panels.

Seema holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. Her fellowships include the International Reporting Project at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, the Kaiser Media Health Reporting Fellowship and the Davis Fellowship for Peace at Middlebury Language Schools.
